USPHS is an US government agency that controlled by CDC (Central for Disease Control), is to ensure that the food and beverages operational on board or on cruise ship is safe to consume and the food being served is meet the standard of the law.
USPHS officers regularly inspect and audit every cruise ship is the USA for the health and sanitation inspections. Their goal is to enforce every standard of hygiene and sanitation (especially in the galley areas) in order to lower the risk of food borne illness outbreak for passenger and crew.
