Salad
Is a type of food, usually made from any kind of fresh vegetables such as Lettuce and it can be combined with other kind of vegetables and fruit or meals (meat)
According to the time when it will be served:
- Salad can be served as a starter or appetizer
- Salad can be served as menu skeleton (after soup)
- Salad can be served as a side dish or together with the main dish
- Salad can be served as a vegetarian dish
Type of Salad
Mixed Salad
This type of salad can be made from a minimum of three different types of vegetables such as lettuce, tomato, and carrot
Caesar Salad
Basically made of torn of lettuce from romaine with parmesan cheese, garlic croutons and bacon tossed with caesar dressing
Russian Salad
Cubes of boiled vegetables and eggs mixed with mayonnaise
Greek Salad
Greek salad is a salad in Greek cuisine. Greek salad is made with pieces of tomatoes, sliced cucumbers, onion, feta cheese, and policies, typically seasoned with salt oregano and dressing with olive oil
Nicoise Salad
Salade Nicoise (French pronunciation: [ni'swaz] is a composed salad of tomatoes, tuna, hard-boiled eggs, Nicoise olives, and anchovies, dressing with a vinaigrette. It is served variously on a plate, platter, or in a bowl with or without a bed of lettuce. The tuna may be cooked or canned
Chef's Salad
Chef salad made is an American salad consisting of hard-boiled eggs, one or more varieties of meat, such as ham, turkey, chicken, or roast beef, tomatoes, cucumbers, and cheese, all placed upon a bed of tossed lettuce or other leaf vegetables. Several early recipes also include anchovies. A variety of dressing is used with this salad
Waldorf Salad
Is a salad generally made of fresh apples, celery, peanut, and walnut, dressing in mayonnaise, and usually served on a bed of lettuce as an appetizer or light meal
