Recipe Caesar Chicken Salad

A Caesar chicken salad is a type of salad that typically includes romaine lettuce, chicken, croutons, and a dressing made with Parmesan cheese, lemon juice, garlic, and olive oil. The salad is often topped with additional ingredients such as cherry tomatoes, sliced onions, and shredded cheese.

1 head of romaine lettuce, washed and chopped

2 boneless, skinless chicken breasts

2 cups of croutons

1/2 cup of grated Parmesan cheese

2 cloves of garlic, minced

1 teaspoon of Dijon mustard

1/4 cup of lemon juice

1/2 cup of olive oil

Salt and black pepper to taste

  1. Preheat the oven to 375°F. Season the chicken breasts with salt and black pepper and bake them for about 20 minutes or until fully cooked. Set them aside to cool before slicing them into thin strips.
  2. In a large mixing bowl, add the chopped romaine lettuce and croutons.
  3. In a small mixing bowl, whisk together the grated Parmesan cheese, minced garlic, Dijon mustard, lemon juice, and olive oil until smooth. Season with salt and black pepper to taste.
  4. Drizzle the dressing over the romaine lettuce and croutons and toss everything together to ensure the lettuce is fully coated.
  5. Add the sliced chicken to the bowl and toss everything together again.
  6. Serve immediately and enjoy your delicious Caesar chicken salad!

Note: If you prefer a vegetarian version of this salad, you can simply omit the chicken and use tofu or tempeh instead. You can also add additional vegetables such as cherry tomatoes, sliced onions, or roasted bell peppers for added flavor and nutrition.
